Inside the Vaults of Heaven

Inside the Vaults of Heaven

A Poem by John F

Meet me tonight
Where the surface of the sky
Touches the waters of heaven.

In this vault we will write
Rapt poems and dreamy songs
For each other’s healing.

We will reduce the vastness
And mystery of love,
So we can find the hidden arch
Of the bridge that will connect us
Out in the open world.

There was no sunlight
Before you flooded my soul.
I wrote unrequited letters
By the dim glow of
A temulent lamp.

Then you broke a hole
through my heart
To carry off all
The miserable smoke
I held there in perpetuity.

You vouched for me
And with your words
The black ice cleared,
So we could be free to
Explore the secret tunnels
Of our most desperate longing.

There are thousands of
Prone oyster shells there
Just waiting for us to tease out
The waters of poetry.

In the simmering depths of love,
Where entropy has no hold.

Yes John F. I did like the poetry.
(There are thousands of
Prone oyster shells there
Just waiting for us to draw out
The waters of poetry.)
The above lines. Maybe the real people lasting need. I liked the search in your words and the proper ending. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
