THE SILENCE OF WORDS

THE SILENCE OF WORDS

A Poem by Shriya Roy
"

love has open ends ,but what about the silent love?

"
The hand that rocked the cradle,
Held my one foot in fairy tales,
While the world made the other foot in the abyss,
Yes the world was shaking hands,
Held thy hearts;
She sank into the mist of love,
That was dizzying,
It was her object of passion drived out of the girl who never procreated;
She was the savage and the lover,
Their was the Venerated and the virgin ;
It never fought to demand back ,
It just gave away .
She knew her love was modest yet sinking ,
Because it was silent ,silent love ,
She saw him draw away in a monotonous drove ,
She saw his heart with all the love for the other one ;
The other one ruled his heart,
So you see,it was silent love without vengeance,
then she saw her heart crumble and pray for him to get his love ,
Yet it was silent ;
And then while alone she turned sobber and cried ,
And ,
That's when the silence broke .
