Near A Waking Dream

Near A Waking Dream

A Poem by Shui Yun
"

I had a dream last night and something miraculous and enchanting happened.

Often I had met him
In my silent reverie
Which I chanced to smell his distraction
Call this Child of Music, memories seep.

Allurement murmurs, mumbles - and more and more...
He stops at the lust that shall reprove him.
And no youthful poets should now inspire
Through a heart with loosing vera cava.
Hold on to a waking dream.

Oh, mightily weak ardency!
This is not far from my waking dream I dreamt.
Fainter light of Harris who praises
The resplendence of a silvery kiss.
