Infinity's Spinning Wheel

Infinity's Spinning Wheel

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Eyes seek

remnants

of what might have been

had you not left my side

Yet I find

no solace

in the darkness

that lays beneath

this reality

Wherein you have passed

away from me

on to another realm

I know not yet

and often fear to tread

Although I may dwell

there someday

united with you once more

but for now only

travel there in dreams

where once again

I gaze upon the face

I saw today only in photographs

as you no longer exist

within my reach upon this earth

but have traveled to

death's realm

which is worse

I know not.

Do you now rest in peace

and harmony

are you blessed and saved

from the pain that plagued

you while alive

or have you found

yourself returned to this

world once more

for another turn at life

another trip towards

heaven's door

or are you waiting

happily

upon an ancient shore

for the return of your loved ones

waiting for them to reach you

once more

where we will be united

a whole family again

it matters not to me

as in the end

Wordsworth said it best

we are still together

whether living or dead

We are Seven

my dear Father

united on Earth as in Heaven

in which ever place each

of us may sleep

the rest of angels is

upon us

in each of us they dwell

to keep us forever

together

through infinity's spinning wheel.

I like the unbroken circle of family in this write. It's never what we accomplish that matters but what we inspire. Our accomplishments, ALL accomplishments fade. Like Percy Shelley pointed out in Ozymandias. But inspiration drives imagination and creativity. The Wall Street moguls can invest in all their commodities...give me young minds and hearts to inspire with love, light, faith and hope. My grave will not seem so cold to me then.

Your voice speaks with a peaceful clarity. I, too, like the unbroken circle of family in here. This was so beautiful and had much warmth. Excellently crafted...

To see the world in a grain of sand,
and heaven in a wild flower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
and eternity in an hour.

I feel like while i read this i am on a roller coaster, that is choppy and constantly rolling at the same time. I like this effect very much. Life seems to never end, even if it does. My regards to your father.

How have you been? I've been so busy with life, but i'm finally back on this wonderful site!!
Missed you!
