Shades of You

Shades of You

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Azure zeniths

within my mind

outline your face

in kind

the wordsmith

blacks out this line

treble clefs,

sopranic song

sing the blues

some follow the short,

the narrow

yet we follow

the turquoise arrow

of clever,

clover paths of emerald

paths passed in our place

we move upon this earth sometimes

without a trace

while behind be leave electricity

of the beings

we have been in spirit

although it may only be a tune

of your being

outlined in purple hue

yet in the end

we all belong

to one another in hazy

shades of you.

:) That was awesome! Great imagry and vivid word uses.
You get an extra kudos for actually using the word 'zenith'. You also get a cyber pat on the back for busting out the 96 count box of crayons rather than the dull 8 pack. (Nice to see 'azure' 'turquiose' and 'emerald' rather than just 'yellow', 'blue' and 'green'.) Very interesting piece!

You write in the most vivid and visually pleasing way. Your words slip into my imagination with the greatest of ease. I love the way you write. I see colors and shapes take form there in front of me. I really like the lines

"we move upon this earth sometimes
without a trace"

This reminds me of something I said once in a poem.
"Realizing our worth is measured
by the tracks we leave behind
So I must ask
What tracks will you leave behind
In the sands of time"

I think as writers and people in general that wish to see our world a better place when we leave it. Have to ask ourselves this question from time to time in order to assure we never lose track of what we set out to accomplish i the here and now.

Glad I came across this.

Great Job!!!!!!
