Inside

Inside

A Poem by Sierra Erway

Talk to me,

Then leave me alone.

Your words; I love.

You spit them at me like venom.

And I love the pain.

It burns deep,

underneath my skin.

To give me a better understanding

of the hurt you really feel

Inside.

Let it out.

I want to hear it.

I want you to fill my ears

with the lies you tell,

with the pain you feel,

with the secrets you hide.

I want to know.

You want to tell.

So spit your venom

As far as it can go.

And I'll catch every bit of it

and keep it inside.
