Scared Little Girl

Scared Little Girl

A Poem by Beautiful Mistake

This little girls runs and hides but she can't escape the monsters inside
She holds her breath with eyes shut tight waiting for the sun to rise
You hear her heart bumping with every silent step
Behind those shining eyes is ocean of tears waiting to be cried
Could you hear her muffled screams gliding through the night?
Would you dare save her from her plight?
Who would help this little girl win this hopeless fight?
May the sun come and break this endless night
This little girls' legs grow weak as she falls to bruised knees
As her tears stream down her face and fall into the dirt
All she can feel is her heart full of fear and hurt
Looking to the sky she shouts "you have won"
