Flame-less Love

Flame-less Love

A Poem by SilvAine
"

The first poem I have created in years. I guess hurtful words aren't the worst thing that can come out of a person's mouth.

"
For so long I believed that from out of your mouth,
love and sweetness would come, though it went south.
But on that day I wished the worst it would be,
was a few hurtful words you would spit out at me.

I was just laying there, enjoying the bliss
Wrapped up in the aftermath of your bitter sweet kiss.
Then in through the door your body did storm,
On your face was a look that took all my warm.

As I waited for your vile words to spew,
I wish I had known what you were planing to do.
After you unleashed all the demons you were holding in,
I understood for sure our love would never win.

Instead of words hurtled at me with your rage,
Out came a liquid you had filled in the cage.
At first I was confused at the water covering me
Until I smelt the odor and wondered what it could be.

As the familiar alcohol smell rushed up through the air
An evil grin came to his face that gave me such a scare.
I was taken back, my brain was screaming its all lies.
from his pocked the flame flickered, lighting up his eyes.
