Autumn Light

Autumn Light

A Poem by SilverFish
"

Seasons and shame.

"
I half-close my eyes,
and dress myself
in the rays of the sun.

Whisper hymns and lullabies;
near-slumbering
on roads I limp and run.

Limp;
the little thorn
I cannot reach to take.

Run;
from shadows bleak
and shame - a pain opaque.
