Shores of Home

Shores of Home

A Poem by SilverFish
"

Longing home; the waters will carry me home, the waters will cast me away. Confusion and hope.

"
Bedside oceans, waves to fingertips.
Always I wander, a ship derelict,
and rivers singing me to sleep.

Slumbering, caressing the white ripples.
Blue mirrors and the mermaids
have come to call me deep.

Cocoon of glass and woven wishes,
I peek out, tilt my head, I see -
a glimpse of dusty, yellow light.

Here, a floating nest, my ship.
It has no anchor, it has no sails.
I dance with waters in the night.

-

Of woe and double worlds,
of spirits and of tar.
Waters dark they hold my soul,
and home rests on shores afar.
