Echoes

Echoes

A Poem by SilverFish
"

The Veil between this world and what else is out there, close yet afar.

"
"Listen!" said the Faery Red,
"Heed yourself and wake the dead!
See for other eyes, your third,
tidings of the ghosts, unheard."

Poisons they may come and go,
wishes rest like dust on brow.
Close your eyes, but not to sleep,
cherish all the tears you weep.

Mumblings from old, withered lips,
frosty breath, summer's eclipse;
cleansing by the Winter's Realm -
memories will overwhelm.

I've been granted Raven's Eyes,
see before me truth and lies.
Taps my shoulder, knives and chains -
ghosts and demons; madness reigns!
