Seasons Change

Seasons Change

A Poem by Sarah

the rivers flow, the flowers bloom
they move along as i move, away from you.
spring has come, the colors change
my time with you was just a phase.
a world on the move. a season in motion.

(chorus)
but season's change, colors rearrange
it was a chance that i had taken
now i'm left but i'm not braking.
the seasons change, the weather falls
spring and winter, summer, fall.
the world is moving, a new butterfly
seasons change and so do i.

you left me where i couldn't stand
but my two feet is where i am.
you thought i'd quit, give up this fight
neither of us knew the others side.
you were the thorn in my side
hidden by your cold caccoon
but out you flew and then i knew.

(chorus)

you had your chance, you spun the wheel
you took your prize, it was the deal
i was hurting but i ain't braking
and you're the one whose left with hating.
you made your choice to say goodbye.
i took my wings and learned to fly.

seasons change
colors rearrange
i took my chance, i took the fall
but none of me is lost at all.
you were a season, just a phase
and we know that seasons change
you'll never know, ill never show.
you said goodbye, well i learned to fly.
when seasons change, so will i.
oh, so will i
