Summer vacation

This is another one of my happy poems i hope you read and enjoy

Summer vacation is almost here

When school lets out the kids will cheer

Counting until the last day is near

Students can't wait for the end of the year

 

So much to do for this summer break

Going to birthday parties just for the cake

Sometimes chores like leaves to rake

And going swimming in the river lake

 

No more quizzes or tests anymore

As the kids pile out the door

The textbooks were such a bore

But that's what summer vacation is for

 

Sleeping over with our friends

No more report cards for teachers to send

We'll be happy when the break ends

But children will have fun until then
