A poem about love powerful enough to stop time.

Stopped Time

 

I could spend eternity, trying to make you laugh.

And I’d be happy spending every one of my lives making you smile.

It would be an honor,

To stop time so that I can be with you forever.

 

I know you may only see me as a friend.

But that’s alright with me,

Just as long as I get to see you looking beautiful every day.

And as long as I get the chance to tell you so.

 

Sure I might wish that we could be together,

But if that never happens I’ll live on,

Just to see you,

So you can make my heart do acrobatics.

 

So every grandfather or digital clock,

Might as well stop,

Because I’m going to make every moment our own eternity

We’ll live together in our own little world, happy for as long as we can be.

 

Time has no hold on your evergreen heart,

It’s always in bloom.

Beautiful as an immortal cherry blossom,

Queen of the flowers.

 

My heart always beat on,

Just like the ticking of the clock.

But every time I see you it stops,

And I know I’ll have to make this moment count.

 

We have all the time in the world,

Because every moment between us will never die,

So take your time, and I’ll try and take mine,

Because every time I see you, it’s just like you stopped time.
