Lost

A poem about being lost and not knowing what to do.

Lost

 

An eye for an eye,

Leaves the whole world blind.

So now I’m struggling to find

My way out of the dark.

I’ve said all I could,

But now I’m left mute.

It’s like you dropped me in an ocean.

An ocean so deep I’ll never find my way to shore.

I’ve just run out of options.

Never been in this situation before.

Where everything’s been laid out clear,

And vulnerability leaves me full of fear.

The only thing I want is to be with you,

I must seem like such a fool.

Please just give me a sign,

A reason to keep holding on.

Because I need you in my life,

And life without you is full of strife.

So please let me take your hand,

Light up these shadows like sunlight.

I need to know what to do,

Because then I might not feel so lost.
