A Life Lived Well

Life is short, one day will change
At times like this the world seems strange
And what's the point?  Now who can tell
Except to make your life lived well

The times are changing, well we know
And places once we loved will go
Yet life moves on, it doesn't end
We never truly lose a friend

So memories live, continue on
Although the time we had has gone
It's time to smile at how we're blessed
With life, unceasing, and with rest

The mystery will evolve and grow
Each mind and soul, far more to know
And still, although a brave man fell
We're glad of every life lived well
