Today's Poem

Seize the Day

Time to work and time to play
Remember you must seize the day
No matter what plans you make and do
The only way's to see them through

If time slips by and nothing's done
You'll look back, wishing you had won
But chances passed and all moved on
The prize you had in mind has gone

A difficult balance, you want what's fair
And some will suffer whilst some don't care
Yet still you have your life to live
There's much to find and much to give

And when does all this action start?
Your finest hour, your work of art
It's not my call, for none can say
But somehow you must seize the day
