There Is Nobody Like Parents.A Poem by Simoni Khanna ChilupuriAll about a parents love and affection.
I see my pop throwing tantrums and
satires at me sometimes. My heart becomes heavy and it eventually cries out very awfully on listening to those belittle things that rage my soul. Soon after he realises his words hurt me, he comes and apologises. Then, I see my mama laughing at my sister's lame taunts. Witnessing her laughs, my heart shatters into infinity pieces. Tears roll down from my eyes having to gone through this obnoxious. Upon asking why she enjoys those pointless and meaningless taunts, She replies to me saying "I laugh at seeing you cry and not at her words that can't make you or break you". She then comes, pulls my cheeks and says sorry for all her laughs. She wonders how I'd be facing the society and the things that are to come. All she ever wants from me is to be strong because she's sick of seeing my fragile heart and soul all over these years. I'm sometimes struck by the thought whether or not, any parent could ever show favouritism or be partial to any of their kids. But, I then, happen to convince myself with a thought on my mind that "no matter how grown you are, for Parents, you'll always be their Child and that they can never demean you, they accept the way their kids are no matter the beauty or complexion, no matter the flaws, they keep looking for all the goodness that is ingrained in YOU. Their unwavering Love for You will always be the answer to your doubted questions regardless of how kind or pathetic you treat them". © 2020 Simoni Khanna Chilupuri |
