Women and Children First

A Poem by SimonitroX
"

A song based on this term which came about during the Titanic disaster.

"
There are times you can't escape fate
The ship crashes and time would be still
Here we are in the edge of that state
Fighting for their lives on our own will

We need to save them, cannot leave
Exchanging our souls to nature's demand
On this merciless ocean's night's eve
Let them live and place them on land

(Chorus)

Hope our deaths won't be in vain
We are creatures deprived of emotions
Our sacrifices won't be their pain
Soon, we shall be devoured by the oceans

Heroes if we die
Shams if we ran
Widows will cry
Or criticize the man

It's a lose-lose situation either way
We cannot speak of our sorrows within
By nature's fury, we're going to pay
Our survivor before them would be a sin

This is a moment we’re dying with no choice
Do I have the right to express any fear
I was born as a man with a silent voice
May our death repels peril away’s steer

The seconds are becoming shorter

(Chorus)

(Guitar Solo)

As they escape and it’s too late
For us, all we can do is just wait
The ships breaking so many parts
Falling brothers breaking cold hearts
Down onto the ocean we fall
And to be forsaken by time

No where to run...
No where to hide...
Posiden’s wrath conquered us all

(Chorus) x 2

(Outro Solo)

Okay not very sure. Is this a song or a creative structure for a poem? Either way i enjoyed this very much. A man's life (i must admit) demands alot of sacrifices for women and child. Bravo to the few men we have left who perform this task. Ur poem reminds me of the titanic:) Good write
