Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice

A Poem by SimplyOlivia

Fire melts the ice

The ice freezes the fire

Passion between lovers; the fire

The girl’s heart, cold as ice

As soon as she finds the boy

The boy, fueled by fire

Determined to thaw her

The ice turns to snow

The snow turns to water

The boy admits his love

The girl whose heart is cold as ice

Black as night

The boy ignites the fire within

Her fire burns bright

Fire floods her veins

Wraps around her cold, desolate heart

And melts the ice.
