"The Stone Warrior"

Although time has healed my wounds, it has forever left my mind, my body, my heart and my soul with so many internal and external scars that I am now left disfigured and flawed and only those who have known me since birth will still recognize the true beauty in me today.

Scars that have left behind an eternal reminder of the pain,

the pain that I have suffered and will forever endure,

as I will endure not only these but so much more.

 

I will not lay down my weapons as I will continue to fight until I safely reach my home.

I will continue down the path to freedom and when I shall come upon the enemy

I will be armed with the lessons I have learned from my past battles.

Shall I win or shall I lose, I will once again bare the scars that show I have fought and at the cost of it all

I will continue on fighting until I shalt forever fall.

And when my final day shall come,

they will remember me as the warrior who through out it all has forever won,

the right to have etched proudly upon my stone ...
