The Boy in the Window

The Boy in the Window

A Poem by Janice

So tell me something oh little child
helpless one so meek and mild
tell me what you see out there
your thoughts so innocent as you stare
outside your window blood will shed
as you witness this vision in your head
bodies and limbs cover the streets
a crying child at his lifeless mothers feet
behind your window frightend and all alone
with no more family and no more home
wise enough to stay so silent and so still
knowing soon they will they come and search for more like you to kill
I see you standing there all alone from across the way
and for your life and safety I do now pray
until nightfall comes when I will bring you safely back with me
and into my comforting arms you will at last now be
as I will protect you the best  that I can
from these brutal solders with bloody hands
for they are beast whose burdens woe
upon our doorsteps where they behold
loaded guns that target upon our fear
for they will shed not a single tear
for the orphaned child in the window who stands helpless and alone
with nothing left to loose for they have already taken from you all that you will never own

What lovely things to say ,to feel for broken damaged children,i have seen so many, especially the little ones
they should be spared at times of war ,for they are the angels on this rotten earth..
i feel like a very kind big heart talking here, with great feeling..
tell me little one..helpless meek and mild..thoughts so innocent as your stare
as you see in your innocent head ..bodies and limbs everywhere
crying child ,hold on to your mothers legs, hide behind your windows ,so frightened i know you to be
there is no escape from this rotten bloody hell on this earth that now we see
hold on ,you may live if all lucky..for your life and safety i will pray
if nightfall comes ,i bring you safe with me,if you can stay alive..hold on
then i will protect you as best as i can..from brutal soldiers and bloody hands
i know how beasts they are..taking lives..and they will not shed a single tear
the orphaned child in the window stands, helpless against ruthless men
nothing left to lose for they have taken everything that you will never own
what great write, what kind lovely soul who could feel and see these sights
i have seen them that way ..and you told it in the best way that could be told
lovely write..
