My corner

My corner

A Poem by Joy Lynn B.

I can't speak out,
my heart is anguished with pain,
I need a a shoulder,
a shoulder to cry on,
I hate not having anyone who understands,
so I hide my feelings,
and fake a smile,
but on the inside,
I have tears,
tears of pain,
hurt,
and real feelings.

I like this piece because it is something that I can easily relate to and every once and awhile everyone gains a feeling like this. Sometimes when we don't have someone to listen, it's easiest to just write it out, but you did a good job on that [:

I can really relate to this poem. So many people I've seen who feel this way...
not having anyone who understands, or anyone to talk to.
It's sad; but it's a good poem, well-written, and emotional.

This is good, I just think that line five doesn't fit.. It kinda ruins the flow.. If you could think of a way to get around that problem, then this would definitely be a greater piece. Nevertheless, well done. Thanks for sharing (:

when writing a short poem its important to be original as possible,
i've heard the opening shoulder thing a million times, and the rest
seems cliche, but on the other hand. you have the ability to capture
emotion I can you can really go far with practice.
