Where is she

Where is my love
Where can she be found
Is she in a tree
Or locked in tall dark tower high above the ground
My soul longs to be with you
I have been told you exist
I would walk the the earth
Or sail the sea to prove this
I ride my horse at night
Armed with sword and shield
Looking to save you from your foe
Make believe or real
But the streets are empty
And I am all alone
My only warmth is the horse beneath me
And the only sound is his feet landing upon the ground
Oh Father
Please tell me
Where can she be found

I found her
But she won't come down from her place of wonder
Do I climb up there and retrieve her
Because my heart won't let me ride off and leave her
Perhaps I will sit here
next to a fire beneath her
If it gets cold in the tower or the tree
Maybe she will come down and sit with me
I have so many things I wish to give to her
My love
My friendship
My honor
