Endurance

Endurance

A Poem by Hope

Music is rewarding, sure;
  this passion, really, should endure.
Can I follow through with this?
I could go work, but without bliss.
Music is my life, you see?
  Giving up is just obscene.
Always working, always fail.
Why not just go kick the pale?

Weddings bring this sense of joy.
  Unbridled happiness, never cloy.
Passions complemented by their vow -
"in sickness and...health" in trouble now.
Death of a child never heals -
  coping with reality cannot shield
all the trials held and sealed.
Passions fade, but commitment invades -
  glue for lives still unmade.
    Endurance pays.
