Justin

Justin

A Poem by Hope

The life he gave up to allow another to live

Isn't that what all of us want...

We want to better the lives of those around us

While growing, he was barely thriving

His sister was going to live a long life

When the tests came...the parents knew

Justin had a thought like no one would ever thought...

Save my sister, but i will have to die..

She has no idea

Little Justin was born

All of the people standing around saw him and knew...

Little Justin was the most amazing person they would ever meet.

He was born, all were happy he made it this far.

How much longer did they have?

With the few breaths, and the few cries and many moments

Justin would wave "I'll see ya soon" and go on his way

Author's Note

Hope
After reading a devotional about God's love and this true story about an infant who died after birth, i wanted to write this. Through his short life, we all can see that there is a purpose in even the shortest of lives...to make a way so that one other can live

It's very sad, but also very uplifting. You found meaning in a brief life, and Justin's contribution is bigger than most of us will make in a life of many decades.
