An Eloquent Expression

An Eloquent Expression

A Poem by Hope

God, my sorrows hurt for you.

My dreams are saturated with another view-

     One which satisfied earthly pleasures,

Hopes, aspirations, dreams, desires, and sinfulness.

My thoughts are to be burned eternally.

My aspirations are apathetic, unfeeling, ungodly and unwise.

Wise is the thought provoked from scripture;

     pleasurable are the thoughts for repentance and hope;

   Restoration among the pleasures of desire

     amongst the angst of the rivers of despair.

Hope for rejuvenation are the

   desires of my mind,

A mind filled with things inconceivable

   to the Christian's mind's eye.

Deeds undone are faithfully sinful;

   All I want is a new desire: innocence.

Thought provokes wisdom long taught

   In the history from where I'm brought.

Parade of songs of victorious throng

   resonate, resound! They've confound.

My state of dreams forever beam

The reflection of indignation.
