Wanting more

Wanting more

A Poem by Sir Godric

People always say that friendships should be treasured.
But I want something more with her.
My love for her could never be measured.
I only wish she could see how I feel.
So I wonder, what can I do?
Can I just be friends with her?
Or can I say to her, "I'm falling for you,"
And lose her friendship forever?
So is there any hope here or I should let my love for her end?
No matter how it all turns out, I'll always be her friend.

Decent, but a couple tips:

-Try to paint an image with your words rather than stating facts or questioning possibilities

-Use that imagery to emanate the emotion you want us to feel. Knowledge is good, but evoking feeling is everything in poetry. In fact, that's the central idea of such. Don't let the details run away with your poem, though. Too much detail and we could get confused. Try to stay on point.

Well done, sir! :D

Hope this helps and happy trails!
