Time

Smooth and quiet it is,
   The essence of time.
Truly just a long lost rhyme
     Bursting forth like the stars
Flowing from a Milky Galaxy.   
   We try and write it out now,
Beating phrases on dying leaves
     Trying to sustain life
Explain and fix it
   Through mismatched words
           On our past lives.
