Her Quiet Soul

Her Quiet Soul

A Poem by Merle Van Dee

I can still hear
The quietness of your soul
Slowly flowing through
Each beat of your favorite songs.

And though now death
Does us part,
I count every blessing,
Number every sheep
That your smile
I'll still see in my sleep.

I just stumbled upon your page and I'm glad I did because your writing is unbelievable. That opening line of the second stanza grabs the reader and shakes them. At least that's how I felt. You're amazing.
