The Victim's Journey

The Victim's Journey

A Poem by C
"

A poem I wrote for my creative writing class.

"

The black lilies’ symptoms

unravel behind the back of the victim

brings us the invitation

to the victim’s hallucinations

as he unleashes a hidden world

Bon voyage to the kingdom of liars

sailing through a storm of fire

separating and growing higher

blooming into a red begonia

A utopia of phonies

voices echoing unto his bones

reckoning that the louder heart

not the voice

will be the inferior

A marvelous wandering

travel, by no means,

into the graveyard of masked queens

through the enchantress’s lens

A last letter written with his pen

the black birds turn white

the victim travels far

to lift the lids off of the star filled jars

A failure

to find a savior

the victim, himself

finds the cure to an extinct disease

A last goodbye

the victim dies

in the fictitious world of lies
