No nothing but still something

It just spilled out of my mind. It talks about contentment, I guess.

No riches

Nor a king's throne

All I need is

A Home Sweet Home

 

No wardrobes

Filled with pretty gowns

Just something good

I can wear to towns

 

No walls full of

Expensive tapestry

Just a small window

From where I can see

 

No wide roads

Or carriages

Just a bunch of trees

And few patridges

 

No maids or servents

Nor any driver

Just a musician

Or maybe a piper

 

No prince to

Fly me away from this land

But, yes, I'll be needing

One true friend...

Absolutely! That's actually what I was thinking the entire time reading it. I really love the view you express in this piece, how life can be so much more simple than we all choose to make it. I love how the author is simply content with fulfilling her duties as a human being and finding in it what simple joys she can. It reminds me of the song Simple Joys of Maidenhood from Camelot!

This is my favorite stanza. I love the word choice. The imagery in the entire piece is beautiful, it takes me back to times of kings and queens, very beautiful!
