Sensations

Sensations

A Poem by Enigma
"

Many times, we suppress our feelings. But these 'sensations' somehow manage to reveal themselves to the world...

"

These sensations…

They crawl up to the surface

They try very hard

To be revealed

To be seen

To be felt

Being deliberately suppressed

Time and again

Being subjected to so much criticism

They still fight for freedom

These sensations

Of Fear

Of individuality

Of honesty

Of love

All these sensations of mine…

I will agree with some of those below, to add more would take away from the great piece that you have here!
You have an uncanny ability to be direct and honest, writen with kindness and compassion of ones own thoughts.
Not only do agree with what you're saying, but i think you have nailed it perfectly. No matter how much we sweep underneath the rugs of life, the dirt always finds away to come back.

I thought this piece was awesome!

Easy to hide and put away desire and real need. Hard to keep them alive and strong. I like the poem. Good and strong emotion are a live and well in the poem. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.

I think it's very direct and sharp in conveying your message to the reader, isn't that the purpose of writing?

I love the feel of this poem. The expression is wonderfully descriptive.

I especially like the lines:

"These sensations
They crawl up to the surface
They try very hard
To be revealed"

The use of the word crawl there really imparts so much to the reader, as if despite all efforts to supress, there is no use, the sensations have a will of their own. It brings the words alive and I like that!

I truly enjoyed this poem!

This is a wonderful poem... Add more content if you want, but I don't think you will improve it, you may even spoil the direct simplicity of what you've already created. For me, it tells a lot about your character...I assume you are writing about yourself.

The content is very clear! Why elaborate any further when you've written it all?
