Friend or Love

Something romantic...lolz

As the tears run down my cheek

You hold me closer

And tighter

The grip becomes stronger

Maybe you sense me falling apart

The voice in my head

Keeps telling me to break away

But your words have quietened it

For good

The way you stroke my hair

My world starts taking shape

And we stand there

For don't know, how long

But it feels good

It feels great

The warmth of your skin

Overcomes the cold that has settled on me

The aura of your affection

Has done wonders

Don't you know??

The world will mock me

For if they come to know

They won't accept

That I'm your friend

But you are my love

It's hard enough for me to figure it out

You look like a friend

But you feel like love

Oh! You've got me confused

That explains the childish smile

Which appears on my face

While crying

As I wonder

Who's holding me

My friend

Or my love...

There is a thin line between love and friendship...
Sometimes a good friend can become a lover or vice versa.
Loving a friend can be confusing, but reading your poem, I get the distinct impression that you do know the difference. You have written down your feelings in a very honest and sensitive way. Yes this poem is very sweet and I have a gut feeling that your friend is a really good friend.
Reading your poem, deep down inside, he must know that you love him.
You have written a very beautiful poem, full of emotions and nuances.
You do know the difference between love and friendship. The way you are describing your intimate feelings shows this very well. And yes, all this can be very confusing at times.
