Everyday complaints

A Poem by Enigma

Yes mom, I'm online.

Yes mom, I reading poetry

Because I like it.

Beacuse I'm feverish

(Because I'm sick of you and I want to distract my mind)

No, I won't go to a shop

No, I won't do the dishes

No, I won't bread with ketchup...again

Because I don't want to

Because I don't like it.

(Because i don't like YOU.)

I don't want to come out

I dont want to speak to anyone

I just want you to leave me alone

Yes, I'm a brat

Yes, I'm ill-mannered

Yes, I'm lazy

Yes, I have no self-respect

Yes, I'm a burden on u

Yes, I should not get what I have now

Yes mom, this is me.

This hits home for me, I've been like this growing up with my mother. Our relationship was difficult. I fear if I ever have a daughter I'm gonna know how she felt with me. Great write!

The poem is strong in purpose and I like the feel and emotion of this poem. Sometime we want to be left alone to our pleasures and needs. A excellent poem. Direct and honest words.
