Discard this garb of angel

That you wear with ostentatious pride;

Epitome of vain vulgarity!

With fabulated tales of passion,

You build enduring palaces on pagina,

Putative to last the length of time,

Yet impaired at a sudden gust of wind,

Of the blunt reality you hide behind a façade.

Your mind, a perfused corridor of perfume

Enticing all innocence to despair

You lead the like of me with your fescue stick

The emblem of your corrupt existence

Weaving a tale of fictive joys

Unbeaten, unsurpassed

Far too long.

The poem is a little like arriving at the end of a court trial when the judge announces the sentence. One would appreciate hearing about the events that led up to the rising flames. A cultivated reprimand that's all the more injurous on account of the vocab.

Wow, you nailed the vocabulary. It was emotive a provocative at the same time. A good piece of writing here.

Phenomenal writing, I do agree that it could use some more details about who this woman is and what her crime is exactly. But I think also that maybe that is the allure of it that you don't include them because there is an air of mystery about this work and this woman. Those of us who have met people like this I think can relate to this, not with who she is but at the disgust you depicted in your words at her actions and seeming immorality.
