A random haiku I wrote for my boyfriend who, unexpectedly, knew what a haiku is. :)

One more blushing sky

A distant vision of love

You and your guitar

No. Within the simplicity lies a plethora of complex emotion. "blushing" has multiple connotations; you, the sky, his song, him, the heavenly love... . So does "distant"; so close yet perhaps so far, he is away from you, the love itself extends at length, you wish the love were closer, he was closer emotionally... . Many consider Pachabel's Canon in D a mindlessly simple musical excercise in repetition. Simplicity fools the simple. If something looks or sounds simple, it is because excellence was its creator.
