Worn

Worn

A Poem by Jon Cooper

I feel so worn
Desolate and alone
My mind constantly wandering
Desolate and alone

My heart is at war
Searing with pain
My heart is broken
Searing with pain

My soul feels empty
Too many painful thoughts
My life wanting
Too many painful thoughts

I lay broken and bruised
My life over
I lay crying and separated
My life over

I really like the way you play with repitition in this poem.
It's neat to read this, and contrast it with your more free verse poems.
Evokes a painful sadness.
