I'm going away

I'm going away

A Poem by Jon Cooper

Cars pass on the road
I don’t know how many
Can’t help but think everyone sucks
No help
No one comes
I just lay there
Hurting, bleeding
If only someone cared
Staring at the sun
Lifeless
The soft grass
It’s green and brown
I feel it tickle my ear as the wind blows it around
The dirt is heavy
Weighed down by years of exhaust fumes
The air is light, but has a sense of arrogance
“Look at you,” it says
“You’re all alone, and no one cares.”
I feel its words scratching my will
My will to think
My will to breath
...to live
All breaks down and fades out
All turns to gray as it slips
Goodbye soft grass
Weighted dirt
Pessimistic air
I’m going away, you were right

I love those lines...
And I know that feeling.. all to very well. But here's the thing, I care. Tons. You are an absurdly interesting person, and if you ever need anything, I'm around.
