Devoid

Devoid

A Story by Skwid

The wind roared into his ears as if he was standing next to some great machine, pushed beyond its limits, deafening him.
The dust pierced his skin and stung his eyes, sending him painfully into darkness head first, blinding him, numbing him.
The pressure pinning his limbs to his sides, immobilizing him.
He plunged willingly into this darkness, this void.
Sentencing himself to an existence defined only by his own existence, he had taken control. He alone chose his fate, and he alone would bear its consequences.
He had become god.
And for a moment,
It was beautiful.

This was very good, for the small quantity of what it was. The details were very vivid, and I really like the style, especially with your last line, "And for a moment, It was beautiful." Hopefully you can expand on it, because I'd definitely be interested in reading more.
