Awaken

Its just full of papers

Made the language old and formal

When you should know its man made

 

And don’t get me wrong

I believe in him

More then what you might know

 

I talk to him everyday

I ask him to help

The people around me

Him is the one I

Apologize every time I do

 something wrong

 

but is like talking thru walls

and expecting the person on the other side

to hear exactly what you said

 

the thing is the writings have

changed and made to benefit themselves

the rich and the government

have changed the truth

and used it for their benefit

 

the problem is we all know the truth

but we all hide it and when we find it out

it’s too late because we have already fallen

because we are so deep in the hole

that there is no way out

but faith will keep you alive my friend

just wait until he comes and

safe’s use from

what there is to come.

 

Awaken my friends

Open your eyes and  uncover

All the lies they have said

Alright so There is much to come am going to write a one page explanation of wht i meant here now I know a lot of you are going to be like "Oh hell not she did not just say that about the holy bible" But think about it you don't mean to tell me that all these years someone hasn't changed a few pages here and there and believe me they have and it got to the point that only a few paragraphs are true. So think about it and check out the explanation. Thank you

Somehow, this poem is exactly what I have been thinking about the last few months. I don't know about you, but something I've grown up to believe, but when I now reflect on the logic, some things don't seem to connect.
Alright, touchy subject and I'm not putting down religion or the Bible or anything of the sort, it's just as your poem is: an acknowledgment of the truth (oh the irony)
Anyway, enough rambling, I love it and I couldn't agree more. Also, I like that you brought a subject like this to the fore (finally!)

something wrong"- apologize "to", just forgot type it. The wording as a whole is a little bit funny in those three lines so you may want to look over them.

This poem is very well written. and I enjoyed a peak into your relationship with God. My relationship and my beliefs are not reflected in what you have written, but that doesn't hurt what I have read from you at all. It's interesting and well put.

with each passing year, new ideas emerge and with them emerge new trends ..
and this paves way for addition to the already developed opinions ..
the holy books are supposed to be complete and need no addition or deletion but, though i'm not sure, there certainly are possibilities about the amendments ..
but all i can say is faith keeps everything going and keeping yourself devoted to Him is the ultimate blessing .. rest we should follow the guidelines and hope we are forgiven if we have knowingly or "unknowingly" committed sins .. :)

It's an intriguing piece, and I'm sure you're not alone in your sentiments...actually I don't disagree with any of it...and it's well-put except for the last line...I have no problem with "bullshit" but it kind of takes away from the eloquence of your argument up to this point...you might get a totally different answer from others but I think it actually takes the edge off your argument more than it drives it home...I usually don't give suggestions of this sort but you had asked me to go through some of your stuff and offer any input I might have, and this is the only suggestion I'd offer here (I haven't gotten around to the story yet but I promise I will this week^^) I like this though, it's a great piece^^
