I know you can't love me.

I know you can't love me.

A Poem by Skylah Ginette

I wrote you a love poem.

I erased it,

Only to find

That I still loved you anyway.

Don't ever learn to tell time.

You don't need it.

You are eternity.

You are my Lucy.

I searched the skies for your eyes,

Only to see the stars in your soul.

I'm in love with your life,

Your eyes, your smile,

Your incandescent essence.

I'm just a sunflower

In love with a moonflower-

A leftover love

From when we were starflowers.
