A Poem by SkylerJames
"

RIP Mom, I Love You

"
While the stars in the sky remain in place
And the sun and moon share night and day
You’re a rare sight when our hope is denied
Aurora my love you’re the northern lights
They call you Dance of the Spirits
A sign from God
But you’re simply playing with the snow caps you love
Guiding us out of our emotional cave
Singing “you’ve just lost the path, you still know the way”
This proves to be true as we venture alone
Never abandoned for in our hearts we find home
Shining your colors on all you can reach
You make no discretion
Accepting the strong and the weak
As you fade away whispering a sweet au revoir
We give thanks for your lessons of unconditional love
