Waking the sun

Waking the sun

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano
"

"Number one on my to-do list tomorrow morning"

"

I'll get up
An hour before she rises
Sneak up onto that large rock
Overlooking the valley
And gently pull on her cloudy blanket
Until her eyelids starts to glow
Wait for it
Wait for it -
Liquid gold explodes as she greets the day
While I softly whisper
"Good morning, sunshine".

You should have seen the sun's face when I said, "Rise and shine!!" :)
