On my ash heap of hope

On my ash heap of hope

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

What I have read
I have become
Now a perfect purge is needed
To eradicate these sensual subtleties
Taking my heart hostage so many times
It is time
To stop feeding these curiosities
But rather, to let them mumble
Rumble
And scream
Until they die away softly
And I can have my heart back again.

Well done SV, but do these subtleties die away softly, or do they go dormant and prepare for the next onslaught of 'sensual subtleties'? Good write.

I really enjoy this for that most special reason. That I can empathise. And of course because it is superbly written.

Thanks Ken. It is a comfort for a poet to be understood.
