Down the wrong path

Down the wrong path

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

On the prowl

Through thick, scared grass

She peers and waits

For witless prey

One spritely soul

Escapes his group

And wanders unsuspectingly

Into the jaws of death

He should not have slept

When words of distant wisdom

Warned of grass on other sides -

At least hyenas and vultures

Now smile.

this send some shrill truth, no matter on the animal kingdom or in our humans... we often forget what's our instinct's warning, when we are too comfortable to the things that used to be... more often changes happen in an instant... well done, on this my friend.
