Heaven still loves me

We've been around the world a few times now

I feel your love warming my skin

but I do not know why you still take the trouble

with such a wild goat as myself.

Still, I am thankful for the grace I get

even though I deserve it not

Even today, when I wanted to snap at my friend

you gave me peace to hold my tongue, despite myself

I'm looking forward to what tomorrow may bring

I'm sure you'll take one of my rough edges

and show my what the inside of a diamond looks like

because that is just who you are - 

The source of love, loving the unlovable.

Thank you for your kind words....I was in a training session focusing on motivation once when I quoted Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of the things we hope for, the evidence of things unseen". Such wisdom caused a stir :)....truth always does, hey? ;)

True words. When there's scarcity of love, we always look up to God, cause he'll never stop loving us, forgiving our many bad deeds...His love is eternal. I enjoyed reading this poem!
