The peace train ~ Trio of Haikus

The peace train ~ Trio of Haikus

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

The smoke swallowed me
Plumes of pity caused panic -
kidnapped by wrong turns.

Tired tracks tricked me
lefts turns vanished into rights -
my train is long gone.

A new train found me
whisked me away to green fields -
my soul's grass can grow.

I am a huge fan of Monet, so appreciate your posted artwork. I also have a love of steam trains. Find that a romantic period in time. I enjoyed very much your trio of haikus with their metaphors based on the old choo choo trains. The first one is my favorite because of the alliteration you have used. Happy Thursday.

Interesting use of metaphor to cover a range of topics. All done with grace.
