Willy Nally

Willy Nally

A Poem by Andromeda
"

inspired by America's "Don't Cross the River"

"

She the kind

That

Breaks a broken heart

To give it a

A re-jump

Re-start

Jump start,

And bridges burn

Just to see her turn,

Just for her to learn

Become what she

What she earn.

She the kind

The king

Of the valley—

Just a whisper

Willy-nally,

And all the wind

In the valley

Bow down

Bow down

Bow down

Valley wind

She the kind

That

Smiles a sugared smile

To make it melt

In the breath of

Valley wind,

And bridges burn

Just to see her turn,

Just for her to learn

Become what she

What she

Want to

Earn—

Why won’t you learn?

Oh, Valley Wind,

Why won’t you learn—?

You can’t blow down picket fences,

For those is the one thing

No one Always-never misses,

And those is the wishes

That won’t forget

Just a whisper

Willy-nally,

And all the wind

In the valley

Bow down

Bow down

Bow down

Valley wind,

Bow down.
