Crisscrossed Blight

Crisscrossed Blight

A Poem by Andromeda
"

i dont even know...playing around w/ diction, rhyme, and syntax.

"

The light is a sprite:

Crisscrossed blight

On what I always wished

Would be the night—

In the darkness I fished,

For such a sight wished,

But never found

The way the darkness swished

Back and forth, around, around, around:

Crisscrossed blight frowned,

But in the deepest dark

It refused to be drowned—

Would not be stark,

Silence not the lark

Crisscrossed blight’s bite

Even worse than its bark—

The light is a sprite:

Crisscrossed blight,

But in the deepest dark

Would be the night.
